Welcome ...
SASLI is the only registration and training body in Scotland for sign language interpreters. SASLI is committed to raise awareness of BSL/English interpreting services across Scotland with the aim to improve communication between deaf people and hearing people who do not use, or know much about, British Sign Language. This will lead to recognition of deaf people as equal citizens of the community.
SASLI has produced a Chartermark for all registered and trainee interpreters and registered agencies. The Chartermark is an indication that intepreters and agencies have met SASLI's quality assurance standards.
SASLI provides training and CPD programmes for interpreters and other language service providers, to enhance (or learn) various interpreting skills, experience and knowledge.
More information about SASLI is available on the website. If there is anything you wish to know more, please contact the SASLI office. Contact details are available here.(contact us).
The SASLI website is undergoing changes which will happen in stages. Please be patient with us!
